After my iMac desktop computer executed a routine update of macOS Sequoia software, I received notice anticipating a problem with future macOS software updates and my HP OfficeJet Pro 9015Se All-In-One software. The message:
HP Inc. extension not compatible with future macOS updates.
The current version of the HP software uses an older system extension format that Apple is phasing out in upcoming macOS versions, potentially causing issues with functionality or preventing installation on newer macOS updates.
Is there a fix for this? Is HP planning to update its antiquated system extension format?

I'm running into the same issue with my HP printer after the latest OS update. If there is an update that manages to make the extension compatible, that would be great. If not (and I need to resort to buying a new printer), any suggestions as to specifically what we should be looking for in a printer so that compatibility won't be an issue anytime soon? Thank you.

I'm having the same problem. Received the following: "Existing software on your system loaded a system extension signed by “HP Inc.” which will be incompatible with a future version of macOS. Contact the developer for support." What do I do??

I just called HP. The company is working on a solution for incompatibility between my 8 year old HP 8720 one printer software and new OS beyond my current 15.1 Sequoia. The customer service agent said the fix is likely to come out in a few months, no more than a year. My printer is out of warranty so I don't know if that will make a difference when I call to see if the fix is available. Is the offer for a new computer for $6.99 per month worth it? Griot99

This is really bad, but it is related to an Apple Os update. The worst episode from HP happened when they changed the IP address of the server used to print remotely via Cloud:(Web Services): they never updated the firmware of printers like 8600 and this service just disappeared. I hope it was not a deliberate move to force the users to buy a new printer!

My sentiment precisely. I won't update to Sequoia 15.3 until I know it won't affect my printer. Mine is also the 8600 series and need it for my job, but don't want to have to buy a new printer. 12 months is a long time to wait if an earlier poster is correct.

I agree, the technical support virtual assistant is not useful at all. Without some guidance from HP how will we know when it’s safe to update our Macs without losing functionality with the printer. Come on HP step up and resolve the issue.
