HP All in One 7310
Microsoft Windows 10 Home v10.0.17134.441
Every year I have problems with the HP software for one reason or another since the early 2000s and now here is the current issue. The program Soltuion Center will not load because it is missing software. I did the Print and Scan Doctor 5.1 and it wants to download software. I left it do it, it installs, but then the installer for the HP Imaging Monitor freezes and never installs. Have to kill the program. HP put it in the startup folders for every reboot it wants to keep reinstalling, but still fails. I manually downloaded, even though I have it on my network but figured a fresh copy to try, AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-7300-all-in-one-printer-series/391181/...
Version: 14.8.0
Operating systems: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Release date: Jul 29, 2015
File name: AIO_CDB_Net_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe (328.0 MB)
Same thing. It will install part of the program until it starts trying to install the Imager, then it freezes.
Uninstall, clean registery, pray to Jesus (FYI, He is not a genie in case people think that), cook a pizza, tried in Safe Mode knowing it will not work, used older versions, SCF my BLTs, tried just installing the components I only need......
Basically, I can not get the HP Solution Center to work, so I can happily use the scanner's features, as it keeps saying files are missing (somehow, must be the Imaging Monitor since it keeps failing).
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips! I understand you are having issues with the HP solution center not working. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Have you recently made any changes on the printer before the issue started?
Did it happen after a recent software update?
Have you tried to use HP Scan and Capture for scanning?
While you respond to this post, let's try these steps here:
Solution center is an old program which is not compatible with certain Windows 10 environments and updates. That is the reason I'm suggesting to use HP Scan and Capture to scan as a workaround for your issue.
I’d suggest using the HP Smart. Go to https://www.hpsmart.com/us/en to download and install the HP Smart app on your PC.
If you are not satisfied, then I would suggest you uninstall the printer drivers from the root level and then reinstall them by following the below steps:
- Press “Windows key” + “r” to get the “Run” window.
- Type "services.msc" to get Services – Go to “Print spooler” – Right-click and “Stop” the service.
- Now again open "Run" - Type “spool” and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.
- Go to services again - Start the print spooler.
- Now check for issue resolution.
- If the issue persists, also try clean installing the printer drivers. Here are the steps:
- First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Officejet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to the Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
- Restart your computer.
- Please click here to download and install the software.
- Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Eagerly waiting for your response!
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Okay, so you want me to try another HP product, okay.
However, I will have to find the offline installer version of this. I will not use Microsoft "apps" since not everyone can afford to be online 24/7 (nor want to be even if could) and most of us prefer complete downloads for offline use (what you going to do when ISP cuts out?). Please keep this in mind when providing people links to software. Think about the people who do not use "always online" stuff.
I will find an offline installer of the mentioned program you provided, if exists, and report back. Hopefully, if it works, it has all the same features as the Solution Center, and is not a watered down program.
Thank you.

Can you please then provide me with an executeable to download?
All Windows 10 wants to do is install it and I can not find the temp executable in any of the temp folders while it is trying to (I not allow it, as I just want the file to install offline).
Can you provide that link please?

It's great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.
After reviewing your post thoroughly, I would suggest you can connect your printer using USB connection and then follow the instructions to go ahead and install HP Scan and capture app from the previous link.
For more details, please go through the Frequently asked questions (FAQs) and under this go to the section - What if the scan fails or the printer is unavailable or offline?
I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
Take care now and do have a fabulous week ahead. 🙂
