@djnln,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues installing the printer on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you root uninstall the driver and then reinstall it and check if it helps.

Here is how it is done.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.

15.) Connect the USB cable ONLY when prompted and follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hello,

Appreciate that you responded. This does nothing to help me. When I type in "printful.exe /S" I get an error code that the file "printful.exe" does not exist.

I am attempting to actually load the software/app on the computer. This printer has never been connected to this computer previously. The software is not in the "software and features" because it has never successfully loaded onto the computer.

My older computer crashed after a windows 10 upgrade last week. I had bring in another computer to use and am attempting to load the software for the printer.

The printer is older, but should still be compatible with this model computer.

The computer will not recognize the printer. Perhaps it was because I at first connected the printer via usb prior to downloading the software.

I can and have preivously download the file from HP support, I believe the same file as in your link. I did however delete previous copies downloaded and tried the link you sent with the same result, it will not run after extracting.  When it is told to run, it extracts, but then nothing happens.

I tried to use the disc that came with the printer and that is when I get the red error code window "This Application has been blocked for your protection". "An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more info contact the administrator" - HPSetup.exe, Publisher: Unknown - File Origin: CD/DVD drive, porgram location: E\HpSetup.exe.

I have gone into properties and clicked on run as administrator and saved. I makes no difference. I have done this both with the disc and with the file download.

I have successfuly loaded this printer software on 3 previous computers without issue. One that ran XP, Vista and  Windows 10 (Windows 8 when purchased and upgraded with the free upgrade option from Microsoft).

If you can think of anything else that might get this to work it would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you for your response.

Unfortunatley, I had already seen this as a solution on a search and tried it with no success.
