@KekeWinkles, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Install the HP Smart app, open it, and add your printer by following on-screen instructions to start printing or scanning.
Download the HP LaserJet 1020 Driver:
- Go to the official HP support website: HP LaserJet 1020 Driver Download.
- Choose your operating system (Windows 10, 32-bit) and download the latest driver.
Install the Driver:
- Once downloaded, open the installer file and run it.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Check Printer Connection:
- After installation, plug the printer back into the computer and power it on.
- Ensure the printer is showing up in Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Set Printer as Default (if not automatically set):
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the HP LaserJet 1020 icon and select Set as Default Printer.
Print a Test Page:
- Right-click the printer icon and select Printer Properties.
- Click Print Test Page to confirm it's working.
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website for troubleshooting
