I bought a new PC (HP) that is running Windows 11. Under Windows 10, I installed my HP LaserJet 1320 printer. I can not seem to do that now on Windows 11. User "MANS" (I think) had replied to someone with the same problem with the following directions:
As a solution, I suggest that you use a universal printing driver.
Try the following solution:
- Download and then run (UPD PCL 5):
- This driver if the Windows version is 64-bit.
- This driver if the Windows version is 32-bit.
- Select the Traditional Mode, and then click on Next.
- Select the Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings, and then click Next.
- Click the Use an existing port drop-down list and select DOT4_001: (HP Print Device), then click Next.
- Under Printers, select HP Universal Printing PCL 5, and then click Next.
- The Printer name field, type HP LaserJet 1320 series, and then click Next.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
- Try to print.
The problem is I do not have a DOT4_001: port in the dropdown list for step 4. Others seemed to have the same issue, but I do not see any replies on how to install such a port.
Any ideas? This is a great printer, especially when using the method to print individual envelopes from the front and I'd hate not to be able to continue using this printer. Thanks!

HP used to include this file with their UPD drivers and it should fix your issue: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/y7ab7zewcjvrjt6y0rm2f/Dot4x64.msi?rlkey=a9nmc7hucd821sf4olb3ngz1v&dl=...
