HP LaserJet 5L

Hi,
I have a LaserJet 5L printer that worked on an old PC with Windows XP and Windows 7. Now, I need to connect it to a new home PC with Windows 10 x64 and an ASRock H310CM-HDV/M.2 motherboard that has a Print Port Header (LPT1). But the system unit of the new PC does not have an LPT port connector (IEEE 1284-A).
Please advise:
1. Which connection solution is more appropriate to use in this case? LPT DB25-PinHeader or USB2.0 A-LPT C36 M/M printer adapter cable (see the images below, which are taken from the Internet)? Will the USB printer adapter cable provide a higher printing speed?
2. Are there any drivers available for this case?

Personally I would try a parallel to ethernet print server.

Thank you. And what exactly is the feasibility of this solution in this case (one home PC with one printer)? In terms of price? 🙂
