I have a HP LaserJet M110we printer and this was setup a few months back and connected to about 5 laptops and was printing no issue.
Today I can not print and get the error setup incomplete. I have removed the printed from the HP Smart software and added it again and get the same error.
The printer is connected to the wireless and I can access the embedded websitre on the printer to see status
No changes done to the network and the client Wndows 11 laptops.
Very fustrating as to why all of a sudden I cant print.

Hi @jfish999,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It can be frustrating when a previously working printer setup suddenly encounters issues. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
-
Restart Devices:
- Restart the printer, the laptops, and the wireless router. This can often resolve connectivity issues.
-
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is still connected to the wireless network. You can check this through the printer's embedded web server or on the printer display.
-
Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the HP support website for your printer model and check if there are any firmware updates available. If so, update the printer firmware as outdated firmware can sometimes cause issues.
-
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Completely uninstall the printer drivers from one of the laptops and then reinstall them. Make sure you use the latest drivers from the official HP website.
-
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure that all the laptops have the latest Windows updates installed. Sometimes, a system update may cause compatibility issues with printer drivers.
-
Firewall and Antivirus Settings:
- Check if any firewall or antivirus software on the laptops is blocking the communication with the printer. Temporarily disable them for testing purposes.
-
Reset Printer Network Settings:
- You can try resetting the network settings on the printer and then reconnecting it to the wireless network.
-
Check for IP Address Conflicts:
- Make sure there are no IP address conflicts on your network. Ensure that the printer's IP address is not being used by another device.
-
Verify Wireless Signal Strength:
- Ensure that the printer is within range of the wireless router, and there is a strong and stable signal.
-
Reconfigure Printer:
- Remove the printer from all laptops, reset the printer to factory settings (if needed), and then set it up again as if it were a new printer.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
