LaserJet P1005
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Receiving an error message when trying to install the basic driver for LaserJet P1005 with Windows 10 64-bit. Downloading "ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win64-en.exe" goes fine as is running the file up to and including the terms and conditions. On "Preinstalling the driver files ..." (four blue bars into the installation", the computer runs the following error message:

Which translates to:

 

"Printer Software Installer has stopped working

 

A problem made the software stop working correctly. The software will be shut down and you will be notified if there is any solution to the problem."

 

I have checked other threads on the same topic on the forum but those solutions have not worked for me. Grateful for any help!

Hi,

For a Swedish locale please install the printer driver below, you are trying to install a driver intended for an English locale operating system:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL21058/bi-55389-7/ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win64-sv.exe
