Hi Team,

We are currently facing a compatibility issue with the HP LaserJet Pro P1106/P1108 printer series driver on macOS Tahoe 26.2.
Although the printer is detected by the system, printing functionality is not working as expected due to driver limitations.

Please let us know if there is any supported workaround or alternative solution available for this macOS version.

Thanks,

Hi @VNF3N60118,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Currently, macOS Tahoe 26.2 is not mentioned in the official documentation I have access to regarding compatible drivers for HP printers. However, here are some general steps and workarounds that might help resolve driver compatibility issues with newer macOS versions:

Check for Updates: Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page. It might not provide a direct driver for Tahoe 26.2, but it's essential to ensure you have the latest drivers or software updates applicable to similar macOS versions.

Apple Software Update: Often, macOS updates can include support for new peripherals like printers. Check to make sure your macOS is fully updated. Go to System Preferences > Software Update.

HP App: Installing the HP  App from the Mac App Store might provide the necessary functionalities to enable printing. This app can sometimes handle printing tasks when direct drivers are not available.

HP Universal Print Driver: For environments where multiple printer models are used, the HP Universal Print Driver might be a solution. However, please note that compatibility with macOS might be limited compared to Windows.

AirPrint: Many HP printers support Apple's AirPrint technology, which allows you to print without installing special drivers. Ensure AirPrint is enabled on your printer, then add it to your computer:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Click the "+" sign to add a printer.
  • Select your printer from the list of available printers (indicating "AirPrint" if supported).

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
