I was trying to install Laserjet P1009w to my macbook (macOS 11.4 Big Sur), but failed.
I tried to find the right driver for this printer, but it turns out that it only supports up to macOS 10.14.
I tried HP Smart, but it does not find the printer.
I tried to add the printer via the Printers and Scanners page in the settings, but the AirPrint option did not show up. When I chose other drivers, my printer can be successfully added, but when I tried to print, it looks like it finishes printing in the print queue, but it does not actually print.
I am wondering if there is any other way for me to install this printer. Thanks!

@ClareY_fish, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
This printer has no printer driver available on the HP Support site to work on macOS 11 due to its age.
This printer does not support the HP Smart app too on a Mac. However, it is AirPrint compatible.
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any software updates on Mac
Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
Install the printer using the AirPrint driver (recommended)
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
Note: Select "Bonjour multifunction" under kind while installing.
Try printing.
