I'm pleased to report that my printer is now working after I was advised by a Microsoft technician to re-install W11. This took some time but fixed the problem.

A product that old is unlikely to have HP supplied drivers and it is possible that Microsoft has stopped supplying a Windows Native driver? Have you previously been able to use Windows 11 with this printer? Which driver did you have installed and how were you connecting to the printer?

Yes this printer has been working with my laptop and W11 for many months and has only very recently stopped working. The same printer continues to work with my wife's laptop which is also running W11. As far as I can remember, I have an official HP driver installed for this printer. I am connecting via USB. Might it be possible or useful to copy the driver from my wife's laptop to mine?
