Hi everybody!

I have a very big problem with my printer: during an update, there was a power outage and on restart, the printer screen remains blank, the USB port is not recognized , the RJ 45 port and wifi either. I can't reset or reinitialise the printer! I absolutely can't do anything anymore. I think the firmware is corrupt or missing.
Do you have a solution to get this printer working again, please?

If someone has one, many many thanks

Hi Anand_Andy.

Finally I found a solution, but not conventional!

I baked my formatter board at 205 °C for 5 minits and it worked for me!!! At the beginning, I didn't believe my eyes! But it really works... I don't know why or how......

So my problem is solved!

Hi @AbelV,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you are facing an issue with your HP Laserjet Pro 1536 dnf MFP printer. I will do my best to resolve this issue.

Kindly try the below steps:

Step 1: Perform a power reset on the printer.

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP Recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Step 2: Restore Defaults:

  1. Press Setup
  2. Press the left or right arrow until Service appears on the second line of the display.
  3. Press OK.
  4. Press the left or right arrow until Restore Defaults appears on the second line of the display.
  5. Press OK. The printer will restart automatically.

Hi Anand_Andy

Thank you very much to try to help me.

One time, I had the message "ready" and the date when I tried to reset power. But I couldn't access to menu on main board.

Rest of the time, the main board is empty, blank, and 3 lights just under are "on" permanently, not blinking. And I can do nothing...

I'm ready to hear you again

Andy, I am having the same issue as "Hi@AbelV  with my HP LaserJet Pro dnf MFP printer, except I do get a top line "Hewlett-Packard" and a couple of Dotted Triangles below. I tried to do your instructions to him by resetting, but nothing happens when I press the setup button and then the left or right arrow keys.

Do you have any suggestions for me?

Thanks, Neon_Rose_0
