Hi guys
I've tried installing the printer driver from the HP website
but it kept letting me know that there is an error with installation

tried just the driver alone and I am still unable to install
Restarted the computer several times... yet I couldn't get the print function..

however, the scan function works perfectly..

any idea how do I go about it?

I can't find the *.inf file online either..., so I can't force install
and my notebook doesn't have a DVD-ROM to do manual disc installation.

As I understand you are having trouble installing the drivers for your HP LaserJet printer. Don't worry we'll work together to find a solution for you,

Let's try these steps here:

Perform a Hard Reset on the printer:

* With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

* Remove USB cable, if present.

* Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

* Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

* Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

How is the printer connected (USB/Wired/Wireless)?

Let's try these steps to uninstall the printer drivers:

Hi,

the printer driver is finally installed and working properly

what happened was that , I had upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 previously
and then my HDD crashed.

After reinstalling the original Win 7, i could not update my Windows to the current configuration, but didn't know why.
Consulting certain friends that I must do a fresh install into Win 10 before I am able to update again.

Thereafter I was able to install the driver, but for Win 10 - 64 bit

it wasn't an easy task , but at least the problem is resolved.
Thank you for your continued guidance throughout this troubleshooting process.
