HI,

I am trying to install a JetDirect 3100w on my printer HP M577f to have a wireless connexion.

With the firmware 3.9, the printer is not recognising the JetDirect 3100w, with the message "Error USB, an invalid USB devise is connecter. Remove it".

 

I have updated the firmware to the 5.6. The printer keeps showing the error 49.38.03 even after few restart.

I have updated the firmware to the 4.12, I am having the same issue.

When rollbacking to the 3.9 version of the firmware, the printer is Ok, no error. 

I have inserted the JetDirect on an HP M578 with firmware version 5 and the printer recognised the jetDirect right away.

To resume, the JetDirect is working fine, with the firmware 3.9, my printer does not recognise it, but with the version 5.6 the printer is showing the error 49.38.03.

Any suggestion at this point please?
