HP MFP M479fdw is stuck in double sided printing

I am on iOS Ventura. Regardless of how i set the printer or the WQORD print commands to 1-sided, printer always prints double sided.

We recommend to check your settings on your specific word-processing program so you can confirm the printer will be printing single sided.

If that does not resolve the issue, you can remove the printer and re-add it from system preferences> printers and scanners> hit the + sign.

When adding the printer that way, in the third dropdown menu called "Use" or "Type" depending of the OS version, make sure you select "Generic Postscript Driver" and then hit Add button. After that you can try to print making sure options show single sided printing.

If further support is required and your printer is under warranty, you can call HP tech support for further inspection.

I have the same problem with every HP double sided printer in our building.It's every Mac computer that is running Ventura. It does it in various programs and from various computers. We have deleted and re-added the printers.  I have tried updating drivers, but they are up to date. I have also reported the issue to Apple. It also prints double-sided and upside down if you send multiple single page files to the printer at once. I have to print checks one at a time instead of of sending them in a batch. I have checked the settings - even turning on the double sided and then turning it back off before printing. It does it every time.

Nothing is working. Still stuck printing double sided no matter how I set the settings in the WORD app or in the HP app.
