HP OFFICEJET 7740
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi,

Just installed on my pc (windows 7 32 bit) drivers for my new officejet pro 7740.

Tray 1 is loaded with A4 paper while tray 2 is loaded with A3 paper.

Problem is that there is no choice while printing in the printing dialog to choose paper tray or paper size.

Those options are missing also from the printing preferences.

Printer is printing always from tray 1 (A4) and when printing A3, I get an alert on printer screen "Paper Mismatch".

So its impossible to print on A3 (from tray 2).

Must note that 7740 replaced an 7720 which was previously installed on the same computer.

Please help!

Thank you,

Andreas

Hi,

Did you install the HP drivers for your printer?

Please open the Control Panel and then Programs and Features.

Type HP into the search and let me know what results are given.

Thanks for clarifying.

The Paper Tray / Paper Source setting should be within the Paper/Quality tab of the Printing Preferences pane:

Also, right-click the printer icon and select Printer Properties, within the Device Settings tab to ensure that Tray2 is installed.
