Hi @IS034,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the printer and ensure that all cartridges are properly installed. Remove and reinsert them to make sure they are clicked into place securely.

Verify Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges that are compatible with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e series. Third-party or refilled cartridges might cause issues.

Account and Subscription Verification:

  • If you're using HP Instant Ink or another subscription service, log into your HP account to verify your subscription status. Ensure there's no issue with your account, such as a payment problem.

Reset the Printer:

  • Try resetting the printer by turning it off, unplugging it from the power source, waiting for about a minute, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can do this via the HP Smart app or the printer’s menu settings.

Inspect Cartridge Contacts:

  • Gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water or an isopropyl alcohol swab.

I hope this helps.
