Hi @pnlops,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printing issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Here are the troubleshooting steps to fix the issue of your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e cutting off the left side while printing and copying:

1. Check Paper Size and Settings

On Printer Settings:

  1. On your printer's control panel, go to Setup > Preferences > Paper Size.
  2. Ensure the correct paper size (e.g., Letter (8.5 x 11") or A4) is selected.

On Windows:

  1. Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e and select Printing Preferences.
  3. Go to the Paper/Quality tab and ensure Paper Size is set correctly.
  4. Click Apply and OK.

2. Align the Print Head

  1. On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. After alignment, print a test page.

3. Check Scaling and Fit-to-Page Settings

For Printing from a Computer:

  1. Open the document in Word, PDF, or the app you are printing from.
  2. Click Print and go to Printer Properties or Advanced Settings.
  3. Look for Scaling Options and set to "Fit to Page" or "Actual Size".
  4. Ensure Margins are set correctly.

For Copying:

  1. On the printer, go to Copy Settings > Resize.
  2. Set it to "Actual Size" or "Fit to Page" instead of a custom zoom.

4. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable.
  2. Wait for 1-2 minutes to clear residual power.
  3. Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on.
  4. Try printing or copying again.

5. Update Firmware & Drivers

  1. Go to HP Software and Drivers.
  2. Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e) and download the latest firmware update.
  3. Run the firmware update and restart the printer.
  4. Also, update your printer drivers by reinstalling the latest version.

6. Try Different Software for Printing

  • If you are printing a PDF, try using a different reader like Adobe Acrobat instead of the built-in viewer.
  • If using Microsoft Word, save the document as a PDF and print from Adobe Acrobat.

7. Check for Paper or Sensor Issues

  • Open the paper tray and ensure the paper is aligned correctly.
  • Remove any dust or debris inside the printer.
  • Run a cleaning cycle from Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Page Smudges.

If none of these step's work, try a Factory Reset from Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults.

Let me know how it goes! 😊
