My HP Office Jet Pro8710 just started to want me to 'save' instead of 'print' when I attempt to print

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

 

1. Set Your Printer as Default:

Windows: Press Win + R, type control printers, and press Enter. Right-click HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 and select "Set as Default Printer."

Mac: Go to Apple Menu > System Settings > Printers & Scanners. Select HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 and click "Set as Default Printer."

2. Check Printer Selection:

When printing, manually select HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 from the Printer dropdown.

3. Restart Print Spooler (Windows):

Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. Right-click Print Spooler and select "Restart."

4. Remove and Reinstall Printer:

Windows: Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 > Remove Device. Restart your PC and add the printer again.

Mac: System Settings > Printers & Scanners > Select HP printer > Remove (-). Re-add the printer by clicking the + button.

5. Update/Reinstall Drivers:

Visit HP’s support website, download the latest drivers, install, and restart your PC.
