Hi @ztaylor,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing issues with your HP OfficeJet 4658 All-in-One Printer wherein it does not print in color.

This issue could occur if the nozzles of the tri-color cartridge are clogged or the drivers are corrupted.

Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.

And here are a few steps in the link: Color or Black Ink Not Printing

If it prints in color on Print Quality Diagnostic report, then I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the drivers:

Step 1: Uninstall the Drivers:

Please follow the steps provided to uninstall the printer software in the link: Uninstalling the Printer Software (Windows)

Also, please follow the steps provided below to completely remove the printer software from printer properties.

Steps to remove printer driver files from Print Server Properties:

1. Open the Print Server Properties dialog window by doing any one of the following:

(a). Press WINDOWS-R on the keyboard to bring up the Run window, type in 'printui /s /t2' (without the quotes), and then press Enter or click OK.

(b) From the Start menu or the Start screen and open Devices and Printers. Select any printer and then click "Print server properties" at the top of the window. Click on the Drivers tab.

2. Select the printer driver you wish to uninstall.

3. Click the Remove button.

3. Select "Remove driver and driver package" and click OK.

Step 2: Download and install the Drivers from the link: Full Feature Software and Drivers

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.

I have restarted the wifi setup, removed the printer and all drivers in accordance with above advice and reloaded complete software.  The HP Printer Assistant still does not give me a colour option.  Can you advise further. Thanks

SOLVED.
I eventually managed to get someone at HP who was knowledgable and willing to help.
Here is what she told me to do and it worked.
I am putting it here so if anyone else has the same problem they can see the soloutio and not waste days as I did.

Press and hold the Windows + R key from the keyboard and enter "Control Printers". This will open the Devices and Printer's Window. Select your printer and click the "Remove Printer" option from the menu bar or by right-clicking on the printer's icon.
Now, click on Add printer, it will search for available printer’s, but you must select "my printer is not listed". You must manually add the printer over the TCP/IP option.
Select "Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname", click next.
Under the Device Type select "TCP/IP Device".
Enter the IP address (Tap on the wireless icon of the printer to see the IP address, it should be something like this 192.168.0.2) of the printer.
Please make sure you have "checked" the "Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use" option and then click
Next. Follow the on-screen instructions to add the printer with the recommended driver and try printing.

Hello, I've tried everything suggested here and my printer still does not print in colour. Also the automatic 2-side printing does not work either.

Any other suggestions please?

Kind regards,

Otto.
