Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Performed Windows update on my HP laptop. Went to update HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 printer software and downloaded the full software image - "Full_Webpack-40.15.1230-OJ8720_Full_Webpack" currently on driver page. Downloaded and kicked off software install. Setup software found my network printer and proceeded. However it never finishes, I keep getting kicked to this splash page and the install never finishes. I tried using HP Smart but that doesn't allow you to scan and send images directly from printer to PC. Even the HP print doctor told me I needed to load the full image software to do this. Help!

Hello,

Uninstall all software related to your printer (except HP Smart) as follows:

  2. On the keyboard, simultaneously tap the Windows flag and the R key. The Run window opens.
  3. Type appwiz.cpl, then OK. The Programs and Features window opens.
  4. Click the right mouse button on HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 series Basic Software, then Uninstall and Yes.

Note: If the software uninstall process does not start or an error displays while uninstalling, download Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed from the Microsoft website, and then try uninstalling again.

  5. Repeat step 4 with the following software (The list of software for your printer may be different):
    • Study for the improvement of the HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 series product.

    • HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 series Help
