I have downloaded the update for this printer multiple times. Upon reboot, the printer says it is unable to update the printer and to please reboot and try again. I've done it about 8 times to no avail. I have even reset to factory default and tried this. However, it still will not take the update. Please help me.

I have done all of those steps previously. My printer constantly states that it didn't accept the update. It prints fine, but I have received email warnings that if I don't update the printer by 11/14, I will not longer have access to the HP Instant Ink.

You may print a printer status report to check the firmware version installed on the printer

  1. From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

  2. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Reports.

  3. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Status Report.

The latest version available is 2025A.

If the printer has the latest firmware installed, not to worry, in this case, the Instant Ink account will not be affected.

My Firmware version is MCP2CN1716AR and it has been stuck there for some time. Any efforts to update the firmware have failed.
