Message on printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8024 " printer was unable to download update"

I have the same problem - the printer is connected to the Internet via WiFi

I managed to solve the problem by downloading all updates one by one from the HP website via my Windows 10 64-bit laptop - the printer is connected via a strong and reliable WiFi connection- and when the error message retry/OK appeared on the printer - I clicked OK -gave me about a 10 minute window when the printer was online (before it started trying to update again)  in which I did the updating - what a nightmare!  The link that helped https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16
