Hi,
Please print and evaluate a Wireless Test Report.
Swipe down the top gray bar on the printer control panel to reveal its dashboard, then tap the gear (Setup icon) and select Reports.
From there run a Wireless Test Report and evaluate the printed report.
You may share the printed report via a private message, so I may review its information too and guide you further.

Not sure its the wiif as 2 other Macs in my house can connect to this printer perfectly. Just mine does not??? the printer is also able to send our emails.

Thanks for the added info @mumbles27.
From reviewing the report, please contact your internet service provider and configure a unique SSID for any access point in your home, what actually happens that there are more than 1 access points with the exact same SSID, that causes the printer to disconnect due to the distance from the more far access point, as well you cannot control it and the Mac and the printer are not actually connected tot he same access point, and therefore don't communicate with each other, making this network configuration change should likely resolve the problem you describe.

Shlomi

Yes, this was my exact intention, the printer may disconnect, but also as in this scenario, the Mac and printer are not necessarily connected to the same SSID as there are several, and therefore the Mac and the printer do not speak with each other properly.
Either contact your service provider and change this configuration, this would be the suggested step, you may also try temporarily disconnecting any additional access point and ensure the printer, Mac and the router are close enough to each other, restart the printer and check for any difference then, I do suggest printing the report and evaluate it at the same moment to ensure there are no additional access points and such is no longer detected by the printer, you may sometimes have more access points than you are aware of.
Once ensuring these, can you see any difference when trying to connect this Mac to the printer?

This WIFI set up I have which is a booster and a router, is a long term set up, which has not caused a single problem other than this, and has solved lots more. Currently working from home with COVID19 and its pretty much essential, so i cant remove this system otherwise i cannot work.
Im not convinced this is the issue as every single other device i have connects to printer except one, and they connect across my network. The one that does not connect just happens to be the machine i use daily.
