Hello, 

 

I have a printer driver issue with my 8610.

 

I had driver on my system connected using wifi but had a problem with scantocomputer feature so I uninstalled drivers.

 

Now I can't get them back onto the system I tried basic driver and full installer.

I get to the point where it ask me how I want to connect and I choose wireless.

At that point it scans and see's my printer I click on it and hit next.

Then after 5 minutes or so it fails.

 

I then ran the scan and print fix program and it tries to install driver and it fails as well.

 

Is there an HP cleanup tool so I can cleanup old files and registry and then try again?

 

I dont understand as it sees the stupid printer wireless.

I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:

 

Remove the USB if connected

 

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features 

2.) Select your HP Printer 

3.) Select Uninstall 

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers 

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device' 

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo. 

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s") 

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab 

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom 

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers 

 

Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-8610-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5... to download the Full Feature Software and Drivers.

 

Now try to install the driver.
