I am having an issue when someone prints to our Office printer it will spit out a page of text at the top such as
"% ! PS-ADOBE-3.0 %APL_DSC_Encoding: UTF8 %APLProducer: (Version 12.0.1 (Build 21A559" or "% ! PS-Adobe-3.0 Query userdict (\004) cvn {(\004 print flush} put %%?BegininFeatureQuery"
I assumed that had something to do with a driver? I checked to see and tried to update the drivers but it said they have the latest version.
I also tried to reset back to factory settings and set the device back up and its still doing the same thing.
The only thing I can think of is that, since it was set to automatically update the Firmware, that during maybe the power or internet connection went out.
If theres a way I can revert to the old FIrmware and try to do another update let me know please, Ive spent a good hour or more on this and its a headache!
Thanks

Hi @CkHarnettTech,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
To assist better-
1) Does the copy print out the same way?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices?
Keep me posted.

Try the below suggestions -
- Uninstall/update HP Smart
- Install HP Smart from the APP store
1. If installed from HP.com please delete from /Users/Username/Library/Application Support/HP Smart. Then delete HP Smart from the Applications folder and reinstall it from the Mac App Store.
2. If downloaded from the Mac App Store please remove /Users/Username/Library/Containers/HP Smart/containers.plist and then launch HP Smart from the Applications folder and go through the setup again.
Try updating mac and printer firmware
To update the printer's firmware, refer - to HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
To update your Mac, try these steps - How to update the software on your Mac
Hope this helps!
Keep me posted!
