I have a printer Printer HP OfficeJet pro 8730.  By mistake the Setup ink cartridges have been used in another printer.  I have bought new set of HP original cartridges which is not working. Its asking for the Setup ones. Could you kindly send me the instructions to reset and/or bypass this setup procedure?

Thank you for getting back to us. We can definitely look into this issue and try to help you further. To do that, we’ll need to first verify the cartridges currently installed in your printer.
 

Could you please share a clear image of the front side of each cartridge that is installed right now? Once we have those details, we’ll be able to check and guide you with the right next steps.

Hello, thanks for answering. There are no cartridges installed. As I explained, the printer is new (has not been used even once), and the setup cartridges were used in another 8730 by mistake, and I don’t have access to them. I can send a picture of the empty and new printer head if it helps, but I won’t have access to take a picture of it until tomorrow or the day after.

I understand the situation with the setup cartridges.
 

For this model, you do not necessarily need the setup cartridges if you have a complete set of genuine HP standard cartridges. What’s important is that the cartridges you install are original HP supplies, not refilled or third-party ones. This will allow us to help you proceed with the setup.
 

👉 Could you please confirm if you currently have a set of genuine HP regular cartridges available? If so, we kindly ask you to share images of those cartridges when you are free. That will allow us to verify the supplies and guide you with the setup steps.
 

Please let us know when you’ll be able to gather those details, and we’ll be ready to assist you further.

I know how frustrating that can be. With the HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 , the printer won’t move past setup unless the original setup cartridges are installed. Since those were already used in another printer, the new standard ones won’t work yet. The only way forward is to get a fresh set of setup cartridges for your model. The easiest solution is to reach out to HP Support, explain what happened, and they should be able to provide replacements. Once you use those to finish setup, your regular cartridges will work just fine. In our marketing agency birmingham  we faced such problems

Did you receive the pictures? Is this enough?  How can I move forward to use the printer?
