The HP printer software for Easy Scan is not compatible version of MacOS Catalina that Automatic Document Feeder is always pop up frustrated. The flatbed scan glass cannot be used because of software error MacOS version upgrade.
Where is disabled ADF? To straight glass flatbed scan, not ADF.

Which application are you using to scan?
HP Easy Scan is not yet compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina. We're actively working to restore complete functionality. I suggest using HP app or Apple Image capture to scan from your MAC. Kindly refer to this document to know how.
