~ After going thru the same install/uninstall methods, what-made-this-happen?? dance, etc.

~ After I found the Re: HP Officejet 4650 Won't print in color thread then the original post response solved by a HP technician, I decided to uninstall the printer's basic device driver, reinstall with the Envy drivers basic device driver, then rename the icon for the printer.

I do believe that in item 7, the term HP Envy 4500 should read HP Envy 7640?

I just spent I don't know how much time trying to figure out why my OfficeJet 4655 would not print color.  I finally came across this solution and IT WORKED!!  Thank you so much as I no longer have to waste time getting frustrated and trying to find answers.

The solution solved it, but it has been over a year since the question was asked and they still have not updated the driver for the 4650? Seems like a pretty big issue when a color printer wont print in color.
