HP Officejet 5258 - don't have original setup ink cartridges

Hello,

I purchased a new printer awhile back, took it out of the box but then never used it. I just decided to use it now and cannot locate the ink cartridges for it, so purchased others and it won't let me setup the printer because I don't have the original cartridges. Can I get around this?
