I have an HP Officejet 5610 All in One that is suddenly not working because the Solution Centre icon requires flash.   The printer is a workhorse and  I've had no problems with it. I only discovered that Flash is now longer supported quite by accident; I was particularly annoyed because I'd spent hours uninstalling and reloading the software thinking it was something I had done.   I found the page that said HPSCAN.exe could work, but it seems my 5610 is NOT on the list of supported products!!

My "working just fine printer" has gone from "working just fine" to a BOAT ANCHOR in just a matter of hours.   Does anyone have any idea how I can bypass the Solution Centre, or  is there other way to use the printer so I can print and scan?   The lack of support from HP is infuriating, and if they think I am going to buy another printer or ANY product from them they're out of their minds.  I am only too happy to tell all and sundry about this idiotic happening.

I can feel your pain, as I'm having the same problem.  Sure wish that HP would provide some support assistance in this area.  My HP Officejet 5610 has been working fine for many years up until just recently.  I've owned this HP 5610 since 2006.  Looking forward to some feedback from others on how they may have resolved this sudden problem area.

Just wanted to pass this info on to you that HP ADMIN (Jessi) posted as a solution to our problem with the HP 5610 printer.  It was a small note posted next to our postings that you may have not seen.  https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Knowledge-Base/HP-Solution-Center-not-working-Adobe-Flash-Pla...

Hope this helps.  I have not tried it yet, but will later in the day.  Regards, Kraston

I am the original poster above YYCdriver -   inability to scan is an issue but an even bigger one is not being able to print.   Is there a solution from HP??

Hello Imissyyz.  I was having the same problems and was able to resolve most issues including being able to prints items from my computer such as emails and other items.  I am not sure if you have the "HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows" installed on your computer, but if not, it should be the perfect download to resolve your printing issues.  I had to uninstall an older version of this app and then download the current version from the HP website.....https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/printscandoctor.  I hope this might help you in resolving your printing issues.  I've spent many hours trying to resolve my scanning and printing issues and I finally have everything working again.  Let me know if this helps in any way.  Regards...🙂
