I installed a new HP Color ink cartridge and the printer will not print color.  I have reinstalled the software some 7 times and while the black ink prints with no problem the color will not.  Proper number cartridge for printer, and HP brand.  I didn't use the color feature for a while so I purchased a new HP cartridge, that's the only thing that I might have done differently but, as far as I know, there aren't any ink jets to dry up, and clog. Are there?

Hi @ermovick,

 I'd like to help!

To assist better-

1) Are you able to make color copies using the printer?

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

  1. Load U.S. letter or A4 size, unused, plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, and then touch Setup.

    The Setup menu displays.

  3. Touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.

A Print Quality Diagnostic page prints.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
