Product: HP Officejet 6110 printer
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

My HP Officejet 6110 printer won't work from  Mac OS 11.2.1 Big Sur.  I followed the directions on the support pages, downloaded HP Easy Start.app  version 2.10.0, and it gave this error message:

 

We were not able to automatically locate any software options for this product.  Please go to the HP Website and search for product solutions there.   www.hp.com/support

 

I selected Mac OS 10.15 Catalina above because Big Sur is not yet on the list.

I forgot to mention: when I installed Big Sur, I got this error message:

                "ScanEventHandler.app will damage your computer"

which I believe is an HP app but  I couldn't find it on my disk.

A miracle occurred!  😊  I clicked here and there, opened System Prefs/Printers & Scanners, poked around, and eventually tried again to print something.  This time it worked, but I don't recall what all I did to revive it.

 

I would still like to update my drivers to Big Sur when available, and also to get scanning to work again (it stopped working a couple of years ago in some Mac OS upgrade).
