Hi,
I wanted to set my printer up to the wifi but the right of the touch screen does not work. A bit of the left side works, I can press the Copy, Scan, Setup and Photo. But when I try to press the OK button to set up the wifi it does not let me. This is really frustrating as i can not use my printer now.
I have checked on lots of forums and they all pose the same useless answer. I would appreciate it if you either told me the fix for the screen or how to set the internet up on the printer without the touchscreen
Many Thanks
Isa

Hi @IsaCh33ma,
Thanks for stopping by the HP community. A very good day to you. I reviewed the post regarding not being able to connect to the wireless network as one portion of the printer's front panel does not work. I will be delighted to assist you with this.
Superb description and stupendous diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require information regarding this:
- Did this happen after a recent power outage or surge?
It looks like a hardware issue with the printer's display panel.
For now, try these steps:
- Please update the firmware on the printer by following instructions from this link: http://hp.care/2rHKwDD using a USB cable and your computer.
- Then check if the display panel works correctly.
- If it does follow all the prescribed steps from this link:http://hp.care/2BzSh34 to set up the [printer on a wireless network.
- If the display panel still does not respond correctly,
- Then follow all the relevant steps from this link: http://hp.care/2ByxI6Xto convert a USB conection to a Wireless connection.
This should fix the issue.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient. Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Updating the firmware does not help.
But for me, this trick worked:
place 1 finger on OK-button
place 2nd finger at the same height, just to the left of the middle where the touch works.
release at the same time.
Try this like 10 time with tiny variantions in the position.
Good luck!
