Recently bought a new printer which set up easily with my HP desk top computer as well as a laptop and numerous Apple devices. However, when printing from the desk top, it now shows an error message 'unable to print'. I have used the Scan Doctor numerous times which now shows no problem but still no problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times and now get the message that the driver is unavailable despite having downloaded the driver from HP many times. I have followed the instructions offered for a similar question. It is impossible to speak to anyone at HP and all their troubleshooters have not helped. When adding a printer, the computer sees the printer through wireless, but cannot install through the connection process. I have tried wireless as well as ethernet without luck.
Any help anyone???

@Clivewa Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are having issues while installing the new HP Officejet printer.
Let’s try performing a clean install and check. Follow the steps mentioned below:
- First, unplug the USB cable from the printer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Envy printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Restart your computer.
- Click the bottom-left Start button on desktop, type device manager in the search box and tap Device Manager on the menu.
- Once in device manager, click on the view tab in the top & choose “Show hidden devices”.
- Then from the device manager list, check the entries under “Printer” – If there are any entries, please right click and choose “uninstall” – In the confirm device un-install pop-up, make sure you select the box which says “Delete the driver software for this device".
- Also, check the entries under "printer queue" and "imaging devices" and repeat the same exercise. Delete any printer entry or any entry which says “Unknown device”.
- Once done, close device-manger. Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to “run” window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to the Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
- Now restart your computer again.
- Click on https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/HPEasyStart_11_0_4498_30.exe and install the software.
- In the connection window, select “Wireless” and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the setup.

Thanks Praveen, but I eventually got through to a live voice who helped me through the process, which still took an hour to fix. The issue was for the Officejet 8022, there is no specific driver listed on HP website for it, and I probably incorrectly downloaded the PRO version, seeing that was the only one listed.
We had to go to a different website to get the appropriate driver and delete all other HP printer drivers from my computer.
Your website should be clearer and also warn against downloading the incorrect drivers. Five hours of my life trying to sort this out could have been prevented by clearer instructions on your multiple websites for similar issues. Scan Doctor didn't fix it either, so that program needs to be improved.
Please pass this onto the appropriate function within HP to consider improvements
