Hi @jaydee1949

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To turn off your HP OfficeJet 8022e and manage its power settings, follow these steps:

1. Powering Off the Printer:

  • To turn off the printer, press and hold the Power button on the control panel until the printer shuts down. This may take a few seconds.

2. Power Management Settings:

  • To set up automatic power on/off:
    • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup (the gear icon).
    • Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Settings.
    • Look for an option like Auto On/Off or Scheduled Power On/Off.
    • Follow the prompts to set your desired schedule.

3. Sleep Mode:

  • The printer may enter sleep mode after a period of inactivity. This helps conserve energy. If it’s in sleep mode, pressing the Power button or touching the screen should wake it up.

4. Manual Reference:

  • If the manual is lacking, the HP support website often has more detailed information or updated documents. You can also find user forums where other users share tips.

5. Check HP Smart App:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
