HP Officejet J3680 setup requires landline

Im trying to set up this Officejet J3680 and it keeps asking me for a phone number. I dont have a landline and I dont need to use fax so is there a way to skip this? It is keeping me from using the other functions

Lie to it.

Enter a phone number in the format used in your region.

Enter anything that is a "land line" format for your area.

What?

The printer is old - the printer software is old (last release was 2014 and the actual software might be older than that).

If you can get the printer to work at all, an incorrect phone number might not matter.
