Hello

Thank you for your response and trying to help.

In Windows, when I search for and open Programs and features the HP Officejet Pro 6960 does not show up.

I had to use "printui /s /t2" to find my printer but it is giving me an error message:

"Failed to remove driver HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 PCL-3. The specified printer driver is currently in use.
Failed to remove package hpygid20_v4.inf. Driver package is in use."

Can't get any farther than there.  Still unable to fix this error.

Any other suggestions?

Many thankis.

Try running the SFC Scan https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corr...

Also check with a new User Account if you face the same issue

Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-...

After creating the New User Account try uninstalling the printer from root level again
