Hello everyone
After thoroughly cleaning the ink nozzles my HP Officejet Pro 6970 printer continues to only print in black.
Factory reset didn't solve anything.
As there is a new software, OJP6970_2336A.exe, for this printer I downloaded it to update my printer.
But the software replies me: incompatible!
I come to you for help.
Could you please help me?
Thank you in advance for your kindness.
Best regards,

Itsarinya

Hi @itsarinya,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your frustration with the printer issue. Let's troubleshoot this together.

Here are some steps we can take to try and resolve the problem:

  • Verify Compatibility: Make sure that the firmware update you downloaded is specifically for your HP Officejet Pro 6970 model.
  • Check System Requirements: Ensure that your computer meets the system requirements for running the firmware update software. Sometimes, compatibility issues arise due to outdated operating systems or insufficient system resources.
  • Re-download the Firmware: If the firmware update file seems corrupted or incomplete, try downloading it again from the official HP support website. Make sure to download the correct file for your printer model. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • USB Connection: Sometimes, firmware updates work better when the printer is connected directly to the computer via USB rather than over a network connection. Try connecting your printer to your computer using a USB cable and then attempt the firmware update again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello Gaya,

No, the firmware update issue is not resolved.
But what bothers me is that the printer only prints black even though all 4 ink nozzles have been well cleaned.

If you could help me that would be great.

Many thanks in advance.

Be healthy et take care,

Best tregards,

Itsarinya
