I successfully updated using a Windows 10 PC

Thanks for confirming Nick, I’ll try it when I’m next on the laptop.

bloody frustrating that the same can’t be achieved via the mobile app.

I’m glad they’ve fixed it but I’m disappointed in HP for not acknowledging this error.

I can confirm that updating via Windows 10 works wireless flawlessly! Updated with minutes...

Yeah, it's definitely important to update from the exe file and not through a phone app as that the same as updating from the printer screen.

I have restarted the printer and managed to run the exe and the update has happened successfully this time. Thanks, guys.

I think we finally have a solution here by manually updating with the April 23 firmware, thank you all for adding your voices and HP for getting there

Tried with Windows 11, made me install the app via the MS store.

failed. FFS HP sort this out.

Well, I haven't installed it done anything to my printer and yesterday it just started working properly all on its own.

Presumably hp have changed the automatic updated there end and all is well. With mine at least

Firmsky_02 - Thats the wrong app - you have to use this one https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/ojp8020_8030/OJP8020_8030_2314A.exe

Thanks, will give it a go later.
