Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 8024 just hangs on the downloading update page and then says there was an error retry or cancel. I have set a manual IP and still not happy. Can't get it to update at all.

I have this issue as well.

I have just run the firmware update tool on Windows 10 and it's saying that the printer is up to date and won't let me do anything.

I have now restarted the printer, letting it sit off for a few minutes.

Checking for updates again on the printer says it found an update and wanted to download it.  This sat at 00% for maybe 2 hours before I cancelled as I needed to print.

I have done the same, run the support tool in Windows 10 and the printer is up to date. However, the printer has an error message saying the update couldn't download, try again or cancel.

Hi @maninsuitcase

Download the FW update from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-8020-all-in-one-printer-series/242...

Recommendation: The installation should be done via a USB connection.

Hope this helps!

That link is the same download I tried previous.  I have done it again but via USB this time, and it still says up to date:

The printer is still detecting an update to download:

I have just carried out a partial reset and then rebooted the printer and tried the update programme again and it still shows up to date. I went to the print server site page as well and run from there and it attempts to go to sever for an update and hangs at 0%. Then tries itself from the printer and shows at 0% and I have to clear the message eventually. Sitting with a 2019 firmware version.

According to the "Printer Status Report" the firmware on the printer is MALBECPP1N001.2243A.00

I have the same problem for the past few days just says unable to download up date. I tried it with wifi, network cable and USB cable but still the same. What are HP doing to solve the problem as it keeps trying to update and there's no way to stop it trying.
