Well done, glad you are sorted. 

I’m keeping my .dmg just in case something like this happens again. 

Still confused as to why they took the Mac link away.

Finally a solution that works (for Windows). Clicked the link and downloaded the *.exe application file. Opened the file and selected my printer and clicked update. Printer displayed progress and rebooted followed by successful update message, however the HP Printer App still displayed updating message and after a few minutes it gave a update failure error. I rebooted the printer and it fixed the error.

Note: My printer was in it's ready state and connected to my network via Lan cable, as normal, and I had no issue updating except for the manual printer reboot at the end. Also no issue with HP Instant Ink.

Why HP can't put the Firmware up on their driver support page is beyond me.

HP support is totally useless - No suggestions work, for a simple firmware update. Download fails for no reason

The fix is hidden in previous pages. I confirm I just successfully applied it:

HP official website won't point to this on France version. it will only point to HP Smart.

Can someone just publish the firmware that I can update via a MAC. I have had this problem for weeks - a situation 100% created by HP - so please fix this OR having broken the printer - please send information how I can claim a replacement from HP.  

 

officejet 8024 / firmware will not download, printer will not work with out restart everyday. 

 

JUST POST THE FIRMWARE FILE THAT CAN BE UPLOADED VIA A MAC DO NOT SUGGEST LINKS TO SOMEOTHER SITE AS THEY NEVER WORK - WASTE OF TIME.
