HP Officejet Pro 8025 and Mac iOS Venture 13.5 issues not printing or seeing printer.

I do not see where to install the drivers for the most updated iOS Venture 13.5.

I cannot find the instructions on how to get this resolved.

What I am seeing is an issue with this printer and iOS since 2020.

HELP!

Hi @EastCobbMom,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with your HP Officejet Pro 8025 printer not printing or being recognized by your Mac running iOS 13.5, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

Check Hardware Connections:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to both power and your Mac via USB cable or a wireless network connection.

Printer Power and Connectivity:

  • Make sure your printer is powered on and in a ready state.
  • If you're using a wireless connection, ensure that both your printer and your Mac are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Check Printer Queue:

  • Open the "Printers & Scanners" preferences on your Mac (System Preferences > Printers & Scanners).
  • Select your HP Officejet Pro 8025 from the list on the left.
  • Make sure there are no print jobs stuck in the queue. If there are, try canceling them and then attempting to print again.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Sometimes, outdated or incompatible printer drivers can cause issues. Visit the HP website and check if there are any updated drivers available for your printer model that are compatible with macOS 13.5.

Restart Printer and Mac:

  • Power off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in.
  • Restart your Mac.

Reset Printing System:

  • Open "Printers & Scanners" preferences.
  • Right-click (or Control-click) on the printer list on the left and choose "Reset printing system."
  • This will remove all printers from your Mac. After resetting, try adding your printer back and see if it works.

Check Firewall and Security Software:

  • Sometimes, firewall or security software settings can block printer communication. Temporarily disable any firewall or security software on your Mac and see if that resolves the issue.

Check Network Configuration:

  • If using a wireless connection, ensure that your printer's IP address is correctly configured and that it's reachable from your Mac.

HP Smart App (Optional):

  • HP offers a "HP Smart" app that can help you manage your printer and troubleshoot issues. You can download it from the App Store on your Mac.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
