"The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed. Error code 19a0003." THe printer worked last night. New instant ink cartridges have been installed. Per instructions, the printhead has been taken out and put back in. Error message is still there.

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "Printhead missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed" error (code 19a0003) on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 suggests a problem with the printhead or its connection. Since you've already tried reseating the printhead, try these additional steps.
Hard Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Wait for 5-10 minutes.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.
- Check if the error persists.
Clean the Printhead Contacts
- Turn off the printer and open the access door.
- Remove the printhead again.
- Check the gold-colored contacts on the printhead and the printer for dust, ink, or damage.
- Gently clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth and distilled water (avoid alcohol).
- Let it dry completely and reinstall the printhead.
- Close the access door and restart the printer.
Check Ink Cartridges
- Ensure all ink cartridges are properly installed and locked in place.
- Try replacing with different cartridges (if available) to rule out a faulty cartridge.
Update Printer Firmware
- If possible, access HP's support site and download the latest firmware for your printer model.
- Install the firmware using a USB-connected computer.
Perform a Semi-Full Reset
This will restore the printer to factory settings.
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold "OK" + "Cancel" while turning it on.
- Keep holding the buttons until the HP logo appears.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
