Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 9018e All-in-One Printer

The 9018e will not update firmware to the latest posted on HP support website using numerous methods and operating systems. It’s been set to auto update since purchase with instaink service and seems stuck at …005.2129A.00. While the newest published version was just released. Every attempt states your software is up to date or this firmware is not for this device.

 

Noticed several  firmware release versions since my version, many having problems with firmware updating, and some wanting downgrading. But based on security fixes, I’d like to update to the latest firmware but have exhausted all attempts. 

 

My last idea is my firmware is so old, the latest updater no longer recognizes the printer or for some reason, HP does not identify my printer correctly or refuses to update based on last known stable version. Regardless, HP should address this if true on their support page and/or provide a fix for a step upgrade to the latest firmware if out of range for the latest firmware updater.

 

Any ideas?
