HP Officejet j4680 windows 11

My computer isn't detecting this printer eventhough it is in Device Manager under Other Devices (connected using USB cable).  Running diagnostics  Doctor finds the printer and tells me I need to install the installation software for functionality.  But i can't find the installation software anywhere.  The Dr only links me to MSoft's packaged software to set the printer up which does not detect the printer.  Tried manually adding without success 

Can anyone please help

Hello,

HP retires drivers and support for products that are 10 years old or more since they were released.
Unfortunately, HP no longer provides drivers for this printer.

Please use the HP Officejet J4600 Printer series Full Software and Drivers to install the printer.
Right-click on OJ_AIO_J4600_Full_Win_WW_140_408-4.exe, then on Run as administrator, and then click Yes. Follow the instructions to install your printer.

Concerning HP Solution Center, go to HP Solution Center doesn't open.
For the maintenance of your printer, please use HP Print and Scan Doctor.

1. Open the HPPSdr.exe.
2. In the HP Print and Scan Doctor app, click on Start.
3. Select your printer, then click on Next.
4. Wait for HP Print and Scan Doctor to load the information from your printer.
5. Click on the Printer menu, then on Printer Services....

You want to make a shortcut on the Windows desktop of the HP Scan application, do the following:

1. Please go to the following path:
   
   • C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Digital Imaging\bin
2. Right click on hpiscnapp.exe, then click on Show more options, and then on Create shortcut.

Otherwise, try the HP Smart App.

You may be able to scan using HP Scan Extended!

It will be installed under Start > All Programs > HP:
