Since installing Catalina my Mac cannot find my printer.
MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018). Mac OS Calalina 10.15.3
Printer HP Officejet Pro 8610
My iMac operating on macOS Mojave 10.14.6 and various iPhones /iPads are able to find and print to the printer.
The MacBook Air is on the same wifi network as the printer. The printer is shared on the network, when I check on the iMac.
I have deleted the printer and reset the printer system on my MacBook.
I have run the HP App and nothing has changed when I went through the virtual support.
Recent posts indicate that the compatibility between Catalina and my printer had been resolved with the 10.15.3 update.
However, my MacBook Air cannot find the printer.
Any ideas?
I have read various other threads. I am new to the community and the other threads appear to have ended so I have restarted this one. My appologies if this is incorrect.

@Dulla1664, Welcome to HP Support Community!
To be able to assist you better, I would like to know the following:
- Is there any antivirus software installed on your computer?
- Could you perform a ping test using the Mac Network Utility and let me know the results?
Use the printer IP address to perform a ping test, the printer IP can be located by selecting the wireless icon on the printer display.
The wireless status menu on your Mac should also give us quite a lot of information that would help us identify the issue. You can press and hold option-click the WiFi icon and then use shift-command-5 to take the screenshot. Press the space bar when the icon turns into a camera. Share the ping test results and the screenshot with us.
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to reply.
The MacBook is now talking to my printer. I have no idea why it has decided to.
I ended up manually putting in the IP address for the printer on the MacBook, copying the details from the iMac.
For the sake of completeness I will answer your questions as it may help others.
The antivirus software was McAffee which was installed at the same time as the upgrade to the operating system.
The Ping test from Google came back as 16ms and for the printer at 57.14ms.
Once again, Thanks.
