We have a HP P2055dn printer and are attempting to install the drivers. The only drivers available from HP are universal. After many attempts we cannot get the drivers to work. We swapped the printer and same issue which rules out the printer being defective. Any help is appreciated.

Connecting via network or USB? If USB you need to download the managed version of the driver which includes a USB driver patch. If networked, add the printer manually and manually create a standard TCP/IP printer port when installing.

Connecting with USB. We attempted your recommendation and still not working.

My suggestion would be to connect via network if at all possible. Older USB printers can be problematic and not sure about you but I hate wasting time when other options are available.
