HP PageWide Pro 477dw MFP
macOS 10.12 Sierra

No devices have been found.

I have a brand new HP PageWide Pro 477dw MFP which arrived yesterday. I installed it using a hard wired ethernet connection. On my iPad, I installed software from 123.hp.com/pagewide without a problem and followed the directions to set it up and let it initialize. I am now trying to set it up on OSX 10.12.6 and have downloaded and run the software from 123.hp.com/pagewide again. It does not fine the printer. Using my iPad, I can look at printer info and see the printers IP address. This is pingable from my Mac, so there are no network connectivity issues. Anyone have any suggestions ?

Solved.

Logged into the printer web gui and went to Tools-->Printer Restart-->Power Cycle.

Once it came back up, the software was able to find the printer from my Mac.

I expect just turning on off and on again would have had the same effect.
