I own a HP Pagewide Pro 577DW Printer that I would like to take with me to Spain. Is the printer compatable with 220V or do I need to purchase a converter?

Check the back of your printer where the cord plugs in. Just above should be a sticker with acceptable voltages on it like the sticker below. This is from a PageWide 577DW in Canada which would be compatible, you will just need to purchase a power cable with the corect end on it to plug into the wall socket.

Please note that care must be taken when shipping to prevent damage to the printer. Either purchase a headlock kit or tape the printhead in place. You should also remove the ink cartridges and replace them with the orange shipping seal. Ensure the printer remains in an upright position during shipping.

When it comes time to change cartridges in Spain you will need to change the region code on the printer for cartridges sold in Spain to work. Keep in mind you will need to change them all at the same time as cartridges intended for different regions will not work together.

Thank you very much for your valuable knowledge and insight! It appears that I will be able to ship my HP PageWide Pro MFP 577DW to Spain, as it has the same voltage option as depicted in your photo. Your suggestions regarding safe shipping recommendations were also very helpful! Thanks again!!! Kudos to you!!!
